Under Colorado law, an attorney may provide consulting legal services. In an consulting arrangement, an attorney may provide the full gamut of legal services to her client, but is not required to enter a formal appearance with the Court. A consulting attorney is NOT required to appear in Court, nor will a consulting attorney receive notifications of any kind from the Court. Consulting legal services often mean that attorney’s fees are lower, but much is demanded of the client for information gathering and forms preparation.
